... I come to you under the moon as if I had swum under the deepest arch of the ocean, to find you living where no one could possibly live, and to feel you breathing, where no one could possibly breathe ...

There was a time not so long ago, that poetry seemed to be inaccessible to me. After spending quite a few Sundays, and one of your more extensive retreats during Covid… Little by little, I have discovered what it’s like to be transported from my mind to my heart and out again through listening to the words of David White, and John O’Donohue… And the other poets, that I have discovered as a result of opening my mind, and listening… I am so very grateful to you and Many Rivers for being guides to the great creative Sea within me. Sending love and light ….DianeSandler.
A beautiful romantic love poem Sir, for your lovely, talented and accomplished wife, such an intimate and sweet photo.
It’s a wonderful thing when two people find each each other and commit in marriage and as you say are “big enough for each other”. Your poem speaks to the magic you make together and share with the world, inspiring indeed.
