What to Remember When Waking
You are not a troubled guest on this earth
This poem looks at the crucial moment of re-entry into the physical world that astonishingly each of us experiences every morning of our waking. There is a whole cargo of revelation flowing out of that radically re-imagined state we call sleep, ready to inform the newly woken on even the most average workaday morning. Deep sleep is not only a revitalization of the body but a revolution of our sense of self and our understanding of the particular decisive threshold on which we now stand.
