Thank you! This is so resonant with much going on for me these days.
Looking up at the sky before sunset a couple nights ago, I wrote what follows. It is not haiku because count is all 7s but it was a beautiful moment I wanted to honor- a verbal snap when the camera would not do:
Often your spoken words calm my mind and guide me towards less doing and more being... and from time to time present me with a new face whose soul my own has known for a thousand years.
Gratitude (along with "Grace") my favorite word lately...How beautiful your latest essay with Robin Layton's photograph & video. And to hear of your recent speaking adventures, still out there bringing poetry, beauty, consciousness to the eager ears of we searchers, mining the wisdom like golden ore. How grateful I am to have had so many opportunities to be in your presence...rock on RockSTAR! Ra Martin
Paying attention to each moment, each passing mood and cloud, each sound, every sensory experience is the essence of mindfulness, of Zen. Just pay attention and when you actually do and allow yourself to be immersed, you'll amazed by how much you've been missing.
Wow...beautiful images and such evocative words. I loved the original piece and this revised version is even more powerful for me. Gratitude in abundance.
Thank you David. No water in Johannesburg for a week reminded me to be grateful for running water and even more thankful to be able to stand under a wonderful hot shower. Your piece is a timely reminder of the myriad of ‘events’ in our day we can be grateful for.

Turquoise blue sky at sunset
Lush reds, orange, golds and green glow
As evening shifts to night
Looking west at the mountains,
Light still shining on the bay,
I am happy to be home

Beautiful deepening words into the magnificent visual I felt lifted and grateful in the moment to have experienced this x

No water, that is scary. The lack of water is what we all face and can keep me up at night. I hope you are well, Geraldine
